A New Twist On Price Reductions….

This is an interesting twist to price reductions for a developer.   Essentially, here’s what they are saying:

  • First buyer gets $80,000 off the home of their choice (out of four homes)
  • Second buyer gets $75,000
  • Third buyer gets $70,000
  • Fourth buyer gets $65,000

I like that because it offers incentives for buyers who are “on the fence” to take the “plunge” but it also gives the buyer the freedom to “pick” which house.

Belgravia Group cuts prices on Union Row Townhomes in EAst Pilsen

“Every competing project with townhomes suffered very slow sales velocity in much of 2008 and all of 2009. Every other major competing project has recently enacted very large, aggressive price discounts. The result of those price discounts has been dramatic, fast sales,” reports Zev Salomon, Belgravia Group VP and project manager for Union Row Townhomes.

Union Row is offering its own twist on price-cutting: offering four homes for sale with discounts of $65,000 to $80,000. The first buyer gets the largest discount, and can apply it to any of the four homes – which range in price from $530K into the low $700s.
